Credit Reporting Disputes
Credit reporting agencies like Equifax, TransUnion and Experian collect and maintain information about each one of us. Creditors, employers and insurance companies use that information to make decisions on whether to hire us, loan us money or provide us with insurance. Unfortunately, much of that information is inaccurate. A 2004 report by Public Interest Research Group found that 79% of credit reports contain errors of some kind. One quarter of credit reports – that’s 25% – contained errors serious enough to result in denial of credit.
Our attorneys understand how to read credit reports and can often discern when information is incomplete or inaccurate. We can help negotiate a settlement of a debt that you owe on favorable terms so that you can resolve outstanding delinquent line items on your report. Please know, though, that we are not a “credit repair” law firm and we do not help people remove information that is correct and complete. So, we cannot help you remove that bankruptcy you filed last year or that repossession you had last month. But, we will help you evaluate whether the negative information is being reported accurately and completely.
We file lawsuits against credit reporting agencies, creditors, and debt collectors for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Mortgage Servicing Disputes & Foreclosure Litigation
The illegal mortgage servicing practices we are fighting include illegal robo-signing (fraudulent documents filed in court or with the deed records, like false affidavits and mortgage assignments), bankruptcy discharge and stay violations (trying to collect amounts in violation of bankruptcy laws), willful failure to modify in good faith, improper and/or illegal fees and charges, wrongfully force-placed insurance (flood insurance, hazard insurance), and other escrow / accounting errors. We never cease to be amazed by all the ways the servicers are finding to squeeze money from folks illegally; we hear something new almost every day.
We can help you evaluate whether your circumstances justify going toe-to-toe with the big banks.
We sue mortgage servicers (and related entities) in individual cases and class actions for violations of the law.
