Our Attorneys

Gary A. Armstrong is a magna cum laude graduate of Tulane Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society of law students. He also holds an M.B.A. From Tulane. After honing his skills as a corporate associate with Thompson and Knight and as Assistant General Counsel at Associates First Capital Corporation (now a part of Citigroup), Gary formed The Armstrong Law Firm, where he represented individuals and businesses with legal issues in bankruptcy, corporate law, consumer law and estate planning.

Karen L. Kellett received her J.D. from the University of Texas. Karen spent a number of years practicing litigation and bankruptcy law at Thompson and Knight before she joined Associates First Capital Corporation (now a part of Citigroup) as Assistant General Counsel, where she managed consumer litigation for the company. After leaving The Associates, Karen formed her own law firm, devoting her practice to litigation and bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 cases and complex class actions filed for consumers against mortgage companies and other lenders.

Theodore O. (“Thad”) Bartholow III obtained his law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, where he was Executive Editor of the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law. Thad began his law career in New York City at the firm of London Fischer LLP, where he cut his teeth on complex insurance litigation matters, including issues related to the destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. When Thad moved to Dallas, he joined his parents at their bankruptcy law practice, Bartholow & Bartholow, representing the firm’s bankruptcy clients in many bankruptcy and litigation matters, including suits against debt collectors, mortgage companies and other lenders.
